Seashell Blueberry Scones | Mother's Day

On Mother's Day I wanted to whip up a batch of something for my Mom. With her being up at the lake house, my brother and I decided to put our heads together and we came up with scones. With some implications, the dough didn't come out as planned so we literally had to improvise. But here's our recipe and what we went through to get these delightful scones.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons sugar
5 tablespoons unsalted butter ( Make sure they're cold)
3/4 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup whole milk

Step 1:  Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit

Step 2: Mix dry ingredients together in a big mixing bowl.

Step 3: Cut up COLD butter into similar sizes and put into bowl. Grab a pastry cutter and star cutting into the dry ingredients. The dough should crumble and be coarse.

Step 4: Pour in the milk and mix.

Step 5: Spray madeleine pan with cooking spray and spoon in dough. ( Don't fill to the top because the dough will rise a bit)

Step 6: Drop in frozen/cold blueberries into each shell

Step 7: Bake for 15-17 minutes

Step 8: Grab some parchment or wax paper and turn over the pan and let shells cools. Before they cool sprinkle with sugar.

And you're finished!
