Angelcot Lavender Aperol Spritz

Sometimes the bartender in me comes out and I crave a cocktail. With loving drinks that have depth, flavor, and something that'll put hair on your chest. But today, I wanted to make something a little more refreshing for those summer afternoons sitting out on the porch reading your favorite magazine. This drink has lots of depth and a plethora of botanical notes. Perfect for those summer days 

Ingredients

serves 2

3 oz. Aperol 

2 oz Lavender Simple Syrup (Recipe down below)

2 Angelcots (white apricots)

1 oz Lime Juice

Seltzer Water 

Cocktail Shaker

Jigger 

 

Recipe 

Step 1: Simple Syrup 

In a pot add your cup of sugar and cup of water into a small sauce pan and turn it on to medium heat. Stir until sugar is combined. When liquid is clear, your simple syrup is ready. I used lavender paste (can be bought at Meijer). Set syrup aside and let cool.

Step 2: In a shaker add your angelcots and muddle until into a paste

Step 3: Add all of your other ingredients including the cooled lavender simple syrup. Not the seltzer. 

Step 4: Shake!

Step 5: Pour mixture into a glass and top with your seltzer water 

Step 6: Serve!
