Nisolo - Shoes With A Ethical Journey
Happy Monday Everyone-
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and I hope you have some great plans for this week. February is quickly flying by and I need to get my butt in gear. I’m currently curled up in the corner of Harless + Hugh in Bay City and all I can say is sometimes that I need to escape. I need to escape from the small town of Chesaning to somewhere that’ll change my pace. As the indie music plays, the baristas joke around, and my coffee gets cold, all I can think about is what’s out there. What is out there for me and when will something make a large change for the better in my life. What story’s will I tell? Who will I meet? Where will my next adventure take me? But, today, I have another story to share. As you all know, I love a brand with a story. If it’s a brand with a story that focuses on ethical sources and fair trading, it’s even better. Nisolo is a brand that lives in Nashville, Tenessee. They have a focus on intentional design, ethically made goods, fair pricing by cutting out the middleman within the retail model, and are focusing on creating a relationship with ethical factories. I honestly watch this video and it hits me right in the heart every time I watch it. I bought a pair of boots from Frances Jaye in Holland last year and they’re one of my favorite pairs of boots that I own. They’re super comfortable and the quality is impeccable. They have a beautifully shot video that tells more about their process and where the name “Nisolo” came from.
Thanks to the Nisolo team they sent over a pair of their leather Chelsea Boots to feature. As a man who loves designer shoes and a good pair of leather boots, I knew these were going to be the new staple in my collection. They run a little bit but I ordered a half sized down and they fit perfectly. I usually wear 11’s but the 10.5 fit.
