Morning Mud with Maapilm
Morning Coffee, the perfect way to wake up. Even Dolly Parton sings in her famous son “9-5”, "Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen, pour myself a cup of ambition”. I don’t know what I would do without my first cup of coffee in the morning. Somedays, I need two cups. Today, I want to talk about Mud Coffee. The lovely Maapilim team sent over some goodies and included their new Mud Coffee. Being intrigued and wanting to research, I wanted to dive deeper into what this oddity is. Its a form of Turkish coffee which I do enjoy. It’s the most common form of coffee in the Mediterranean. The beans are ground with cardamon and as I’m writing this, the coffee has a beautiful warmth to it. The perfect way to stay warm on this chilly winter day.
Here’s you make it:
Steps 1 : Boil some water in a kettle
Step 2 : Add a teaspoon of mud coffee to a see through cup.
Step 3 : Pour boiling water over grounds and fill cup 3/4s to the top. Then stir the grounds.
Step 4 : Wait 3 minutes for the powder to sink to the bottom
Step 5 : Delicately bang the glass on table so the excess powder will fall to the bottom of the glass.
Step 6: Drink slowly and stop before you get to the bottom of the glass.
