Copper Cow Coffee: Settling in at Home

Man, Let me just say today has been a rough one. Gotta love when your break lines snap, am I right? Anyways, today, I want to talk about a pick me up that I've featured on my Instagram last month. The lovely ladies of Copper Cow Coffee sent me a little care package with their portable pour overs. When I got home from Grand Rapids on Augsut 1st and I didn't have any of my coffee stuff unpacked. I did have a pour over that I had purchased from Wood + Cloth in my bag, and there I sat, in peace, with a delicious Vietnamese coffee. I was then graced with a little package from them and I couldn't be more grateful.

In honor of taking today with grace, I decided to pour myself a cup of coffee. And in good spirits, I decided to use the cow cup that my Great Grandma left me. As a kid, I wanted to be a farmer and then I realized that the farms around where I grew up sent all of their animals to "greater pastures", that dream faded real quick.  But on a good note, I did save a baby cow when I was little from getting hit by a car. Grandma called me the little savior.

Here's more on Copper Cow:

After the success launching Copper Cow Coffee’s parent company, Wei Pantry (now carried in Whole Foods, Dean & Deluca, and other specialty retailers), Debbie Wei Mullin set out to elevate one of her family’s favorite past times: Vietnamese coffee. In 2016, she traveled to her mother’s hometown Saigon, Vietnam in search of all natural, socially sustainable, specialty Vietnamese coffee.

Building off her network from MIT & her former career at the World Bank in Asia, Debbie found amazing people revolutionizing sustainable agricultural in Vietnam, and discovered the innovative brewing technique of our signature single serving pour over bags. Copper Cow Coffee was born.

I'm currently planning a trip to the mountains and I think these little pour overs are going to come with me; campfire coffee anyone?

I want to send a special thank you to the Copper Cow crew for sending over some of their products. I know these will be a staple in my life and perfect for my travels.
