Brioche Bread Pudding

While I was at Sam's house, we also decided that we should bake something together. I had brought up that I was craving bread pudding. She not knowing what is was, was down to try it. Grandma Boyd taught me how to make custard by hand and showed me that custards are not hard to make. So I grabbed my ingredients, went to the local bakery and grabbed some day old brioche and made my way to Sam's apartment.


1 load of day old bread ( Something buttery and soft like brioche)

4 eggs

2 tbs melted unsalted butter

2 cups whole milk

1 cup sugar 

1 tbs cinnamon 

1tsp ground cloves

2 tbs vanilla 


1/2 cup powdered sugar

Enough water to make it a thick paste. When lifting spoon it should drizzle into the bowl

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 

Step 2:  Spray a deep baking pan with cooking spray

Step 3: Take your Brioche and cut it into bite sized pieces 

Step 4: Put bread into the baking pan and coat with the melted butter.

Step 5: In a mixing bowl mix the other ingredients until light and frothy. 

Step 6: After mixing the ingredients, pour the egg mixture over the bread.

Step 7: Press bread down so that the custard covers the bread. 

Step 8: Bake for 45 minutes or until it springs back with a light touch of the finger.

Step 9: Mix together powdered sugar and water until you get a thick paste

Step 10: pour over hot bread pudding

Then you're done!
